THE ROLE As we deepen and scale our international partnerships, we are seeking a Senior Program Manager International Enablement to serve as a cross-functional execution leader and cross-functional partner to country teams. This role sits within the International team and works closely with our International Product Manager and International Rostering/Ops Lead. The primary purpose of this role is to: Stabilize and unblock day-to-day partner execution Translate product evolution into country-level implementation implications, ensuring partners are prepared for roadmap changes and transitions Triage and resolve the majority of partner questions and issues independently, escalating only strategic, compliance, or high-risk matters Coordinate cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Marketing to move partner-facing dependencies forward This is a high-judgment, high-autonomy individual contributor role designed to provide leverage to the broader International team by absorbing operational complexity, strengthening partner execution, and ensuring country teams are consistently supported. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Own Day-to-Day Partner Execution & Triage Serve as the primary point of contact for operational and implementation questions from country teams Resolve ~80% of partner issues and clarifications without escalation Run regular operational check-ins with priority country teams Identify risks early and escalate only strategic, compliance, or resourcing tradeoffs Lead Product to Field Translation Develop deep fluency in Khan Academy products and translate product changes into clear, actionable guidance for country teams Support grassroots and government-level launches with practical implementation counsel Maintain a feedback loop to Product on field implications and recurring friction points Enable Strong, Sustainable Partnerships Support onboarding and accelerator processes for new countries Provide guidance on adapting implementation models to local system constraints Support pilot design and early-stage implementation stabilization for new country teams Drive Programmatic Excellence Support design and execution of global convenings, learning communities, and knowledge-sharing initiatives Contribute to professional learning tracks (e.g., KhanXchange) aligned to partner needs Ensure country teams are informed of roadmap changes and prepared for transitions Coordinate Cross-Functionally Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Legal, and Marketing teams to unblock country needs Ensure dependencies are tracked and moved forward Maintain clarity on what is operational vs. strategic vs. product ownership Protect senior leadership capacity by filtering and synthesizing issues before escalation WHAT YOU BRING 7+ years of experience in international education, partnerships, consulting, public sector delivery, or cross-functional program leadership Strong understanding of how educational systems operate, particularly in international contexts Demonstrated experience leading implementation in ambiguous environments, driving execution across multiple teams without formal authority Exceptional project management and prioritization skills Ability to rapidly develop deep product fluency and translate product evolution into practical implementation guidance Strong judgment: able to independently resolve most issues while escalating only high-risk or strategic decisions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfort operating across time zones and cultures Entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action Willingness to travel internationally as needed Experience working with government partners, large-scale implementations, or edtech products is strongly preferred. The compensation band for this role is $120,800 - $135,900 USD annually for candidates based in the United States and $163,238 - $183,643 CAD annually for candidates based in Canada. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data.
